Evelyn

2020 - 2025

Evelyn wasn’t just a St. Bernard — she was a force of comfort, strength, and gentle love wrapped in 100+ pounds of fur. From the moment she lumbered into our lives, she filled every room with her quiet wisdom and slobbery kisses. She was the kind of dog who didn’t need to bark to be heard. Her presence said everything.

She was our calm in chaos. Our rock on hard days. Our silent hug when words failed. Evelyn carried burdens we didn’t even know we had — just by lying beside us, resting her big head on our laps, and reminding us to breathe.

But time, as it does, began to slow her steps. Her back legs gave out, and we watched helplessly as her body betrayed the heart that still longed to stay near us. We fought for her — X-rays, vet visits, hope wrapped in medicine and gentle hands. Still, Evelyn told us in her way: it was time.

She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on a warm day, the kind she loved to lie in. Now, somewhere just beyond our reach, Evelyn runs again. Strong. Free. At peace.

She was never “just a dog.” Evelyn was family. She was home.

And now, she waits to welcome us there someday, too.
