Indy

2014 - 2026

Indy, 12, of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, surrounded by the people who loved her most.
Indy was born on June 15, 2014, to her proud parents, Hank and Sally. She was one of eight puppies—a perfect split of four boys and four girls—and from the very beginning, she was destined to bring an immeasurable amount of love and joy into the lives of those around her.

Indy was so much more than a beloved dog. She was family. She was a constant companion, an adventure buddy, a source of comfort, and a piece of the family’s heart. She loved everything her humans loved and never wanted to miss out on whatever the family was doing.

She loved playing frisbee, chasing the footballs Daddy kicked, running after snowmobiles, riding in the back of the Ranger, and swimming off the pontoon boat. She lived for every adventure, big or small, as long as she was with her family.

Of all the places she went, her favorite place in the world was Camp Marsh, where she could curl up beside the kerosene heater. Those quiet moments captured Indy perfectly—content, cozy, and happiest when she was surrounded by the people she loved.

Indy is survived by the many people who loved her dearly, including her human sisters, Lakelyn and Lindlee, and her brother and second cousin, Bow. In her later years, Indy also gave the beautiful gift of companionship to her Nana and Granca at the “old folks home,” bringing them comfort and happiness..

There are so many little things that will never feel quite the same without her. Opening the cheese drawer of the refrigerator will always bring back memories of Indy waiting hopefully nearby. Stopping for ice cream at DQ will never be the same without her eager presence.

Indy’s paw prints are forever on the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. She filled twelve years with adventure, laughter, and loyalty.

She was deeply loved. She was cherished beyond words. And she will be missed more than anyone can say.
