Ivan Yocom

"Ivan was adopted by Taylor Yocom in St. Louis, MO on August 8th, 2016 as she began her MFA at Washington University. While he was usually a very well behaved cat, Ivan was found guilty of breaking and entering into their neighbor’s apartment.
In his free time, Ivan spent his daytime using his favorite toy, the Fidget Spinner. This toy often kept his parents up at night. He was also known for drinking from the sink which his owners designated as 'sink time'.
Ivan was leash trained and loved hanging out on the patio. His favorite time of each year was his birthday which was celebrated with balloons, trivia and guests. Ivan was very celebrated in his household, including a regal portrait of him in the bathroom. In addition there was also signage reminding everyone that it was 'Ivan’s House'.
Ivan's favorite daily activities were waking up his mom and aunts by licking their faces, and feline hydrocare which was nicknamed 'gatorade'.
During the pandemic, Ivan grew accustomed to working from home with his mom and aunts. But he never accepted his Uncle Bean’s shenanigans while visiting in Des Moines.
Ivan passed away on November 23rd 2021 and was preceded in death by Pumpkin, Nibbles, Oreo and Hanny, and perhaps a few fish. He is survived by his mother, Taylor Yocom. His aunts,Tess and Claire Yocom, and grandparents Kate and Curt Yocom and uncle Bean Yocom."
