Jackson “jax”

2024

Jackson....he was a rescue, my "step-dog" that I grew attached to over the years. He had his moods that's for sure. He knew when he got his harness on he would get to go for a ride which he really enjoyed. In February he wasn't feeling well and went to the vet and he was diagnosed with kidney problems. The doc prescribed special food for him which, he would eat the entire bag if he could. Even though he wasn't feeling well, he still enjoyed going outside and for a walk. He lost a lot of weight from being sick to the point he didn't want to go outside in the rain so I had to dig out his sweater to keep him warm. He was smart too because he knew after he went outside he would get a snack so he would usually do a "tap-dance" with his little feet on my side of the bed to wake me up to go outside early in the morning hoping to get a treat. And every time the furnace would come on he would lay in front of the vent to keep warm. He followed me around my yard once, everywhere I went, being the faithful little companion he was. He may have been a little sneaky at times and gotten into things he shouldn't have, but he was a good dog that just wanted some attention. The sound of his floppy ears when he would shake will sound no more, he will be missed.
