Celebrating the Life of Miss Molly Logan
12/29/2007 – 02/01/2023

Our most wonderful journey began in March of 2008 when we adopted Miss Molly Logan from the Wake County SPCA in NC. Never could we have imaged the joy, laughter, adventures, companionship, and endless love she brought into our lives.

From day 1, our world revolved around Molly. She was the center of our lives and was part of absolutely everything. As much as she loved to be with us, we loved being with her.

Molly loved companionship and all the people in her life. She soaked up attention and enjoyed being at the center of everything. She was literally right in the middle of every family event, whether it was lying in the center below the dining table or being right in the middle of unwrapping presents at Christmas, going for a group walk, or just being close to us no matter where we were.

A few of Molly’s favorite things were playing in her pool when she was younger, swimming in lakes, and she loved to dive for sticks and bring them proudly a shore. She loved learning and doing tricks. Snow was one of her obsessions; she could not get enough of it. Winter was her favorite time of year. She made countess show angles, enjoyed eating it, running through it and laying in it while it was snowing or soaking up the sunshine from the warm winter sun. Winters in our home were a bit crazy because as soon as she came in from outside, not 10 minutes later would she want to go back out to enjoy it. She loved adventures such as going to the park, hiking in the mountains, taking car rides to the hardware store, and road trips to see family. Her favorite place was always with us and she enjoyed the comforts of home surrounded by her family. She loved to help cook in the kitchen or bbq on the back deck, help in the garden, going for walks, exploring the fields (especially after the farmer made hay), and spending quality time under her apple tree where she could watch everything. Hot summer days were spent indoors on top of AC vents, where Molly liked to cool her belly and with a personnel Molly fan that traveled to various locations in the house with her. She also loved her doggie ice cream on those days to cool off. Molly was never really food motivated as she loved human affection more, but she liked her treat time at night: playing with her treat-stuffed toys and eating dinner was only considered dinner if it was topped with ground deer. Thankfully for a devoted dad, Molly always had deer. Fall and the cool air brought out her spunky side when she enjoyed time outdoors with us and playing in leaves (she loved leaf mountains to jump and roll in).

Molly had a great way of communicating, which made her so special to be around. Our lives were so much better because she was in it. The memories we made in the last 15 years, one month and three days, will never be forgotten and she will forever live on in our hearts until one day we meet again.
