Quincy DeBlaze

2012 - 2023

aka Q, Q-Bear, Quincer Doodle, Q-Man

My handsome, sweet, fur baby of 11 years went on hospice the week of Christmas 2023. He was a gift from God in September 2012 at about 8-10 months old, appearing at my mom’s remote log cabin one to two days after she passed away. You see, “Q” was ushered in by the Archangels to help deliver of his own, unique brand of love and care through the newfound absence of mom’s departure after 46 years. This little boy was a precious gift of unexplainable comfort who I welcomed with great gratitude. Mom and I both loved cats a great deal. She knew it would be a difficult challenge for me after her passing, however the holy spirit had a plan.

Fast forward about two years, and I returned the favor of love and care to Quincy. He required a very serious surgery in order to continue his life. This was due to an excess production of kidney stones, becoming the first cat in the Midwest (2015) to have a trans-ureter bypass. That’s fancy talk for a spaceship-like device in his tummy that filtered out the stones while still allowing urine to pass through. It did come with the hardship of vet visits in order to flush the device of urine build-up, and I suspect an allergy to it that made him itch.

Over the past week especially, Q began to lose his appetite and it was evident his body was failing; both kidneys were functioning at less than 25%. Thank God for digital fre-quency support. There is no doubt in my heart and mind that the frequencies comforted my Q-baby in his final years, months, days and hours.

Despite his body’s deterioration, Q remained calm and the absolute, best little buddy ever. It has been the greatest honor of my life to be Quincy’s mom. On December 22, 2023, Q completed his ascension journey. My heart is forever blessed for Q adopting me.

When relaxed, you could always find Quincy with his tongue out. He was always the first to greet me at the door when arriving home. You see, I was the highlight of his day and vice versa. Q would stretch his claws on the laundry basket. In the mornings, he would tug my hair in bed and wait for me outside the door to serve him breakfast. If I was distracted, Q would rub up against my legs and/or plop himself into the middle of whatever I was doing — as if to say, don’t forget to feed me, mom! We even had a kitty chow-time chant, and Q knew it well. Oh, the joy in his step with these sweet words!

Over the years, Quincy was an extraordinary brother to Theo, Eva, Archie and Smokey. Never aggressive, he only exhibited love kindness, especially to his dad and mom.

During the Fall of 2023, Q and I spent several beautiful days grounding in the backyard sunshine. He loved to explore, sun himself, and greet our neighbor dog Lucy. I will treasure those sweet memories forever.
